LET YOURSELF REST at Palm Grove Beach Resort
With an abundance of choice of style of beach in Goa. We were pleasantly surprised to softly land in one of the quietest, tranquil and peaceful. Ashvem beach is everything if you're looking for peace & quiet, good food, idyllic sands and a little middle class luxury. It also has a strong wellness scenes, so if you wanna stay healthy, there's yoga on tap.
This part of the beach is home to an array of gorgeous accommodation - beach huts, stone palaces and much more. You really are spoilt for choice.
Situated slap bang in the middle is Palm Grove Beach Resort. The brainchild of a sweed and a Goan, Palm Grove opened in 2009 but the place has recently been renovated to make sure the huts can withstand the monsoon season. Meaning they're now open all year round (yay!)
Living up to its name, towering palm trees surround a selection of modestly described rustic-chic beach "huts", don't be fooled, these beach huts are every bit the luxury you're looking for.
The design is stripped back with organic materials like bamboo and grass apparent throughout the location. Although with rough monsoon seasons, recent renovations have now introduced concrete to the houses, with a special warm finish (IPS - India Patent Stone).
The interior has a Scandinavian influence with touches of traditional Indian colours and objects - The perfect hybrid of bohemian and modern.
From the beautiful huge bedroom, to the stunning walk-in shower and your own personal terrace looking out to the palm grove, the ideal spot for glass of red and a wind down after a day of sun worshipping - this place is so special.
Even the house restaurant is idyllic. Perfectly set at the end of the palm-lined pathway with a view of the beach & sea while you enjoy real coffee, fresh fruit, humongous fresh salads, giant prawns and everything in between. They also serve fresh juices - my personal fave being detox mania - classic cocktails and wine.
In 2011 the owners were offered the possibility of occupying another stretch of land 150 metres away. They named it Little Palm Grove as a sister resort for singles, couples or families with children over 12.
Today the resort is home to 20 bungalows placed right on Ashvem beach.
The place has real relaxed vibe, it's perfect for families, groups of friends and couples. All of which were frequenting during our stay. It seems to cater for your every need. Whether you're on a long holiday with the family, passing through as a traveller or need a wellness break with a girlfriend this place is for you.
Thank you Palm Grove Beach Resort for hosting our stay.
